Rice/Baylor Medical Scholars Program

The Rice/Baylor Medical Scholars Program (MSP) promotes the education of students who are scientifically competent, compassionate and socially conscious. Rice and Baylor College of Medicine select 14 incoming freshmen each year to pursue a four-year bachelor's degree at Rice, followed by guaranteed admission to Baylor College of Medicine.

MSP students are encouraged to explore the entire range of Rice undergraduate programs to expose themselves to a broad-based education. Ideally, students selected to the program will apply insight from this extensive exposure to the liberal arts and other disciplines to the study of modern medical science.
